Application Information




Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in the childcare program that is offered to the Greater Lansing Area at Spartan Child Development Center. We hope that we will be able to serve you!

The first step in our enrollment process is to complete the attached application. From this point, procedure will continue in one of the following ways:

      1. If childcare space is currently available, we will confirm further enrollment details with you, or…
      2. Your application will be placed on our waiting list until an opening becomes available. Your application will remain active on the waiting list for up to two years from the date of application. Please complete the entire application, including listing an active email address. You will be contacted via e-mail regarding available spaces. Our admission priority is as follows:
            • In-center families and staff
            • MSU students faculty and staff
            • General community members

      3. Due to the number of applications received, we do not contact families individually regarding waiting list status. However, families are welcome to contact us at any time to request information regarding their application or to schedule a tour.

Before childcare space can be offered or you child's name is placed on a waiting list, a $45.00 non-refundable fee must be paid. (If applying for more than one child a $5.00 non-refundable application fee is required for each additional child.)
