BUDGET COMMITTEE

Committee Objectives:

     • Development and administration of sound fiscal policy for the corporation
     • Creation of fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) budget
     • Review of monthly financial statements and investigation of budget variances

PERSONNEL AND POLICIES COMMITTEE

Committee Objectives:

     • Responsible for the development, evaluation and revision of corporate and personnel policies
     • Maintains and updates the staff and parent handbooks
     • Responds to parent and/or staff requests for policy change

BY-LAWS COMMITTEE

Committee Objectives:

• Responsible for maintaining and updating by-laws based upon need or Board request

FOOD AND NUTRITION COMMITTEE

Committee Objectives:

• Responsible for working collaboratively with SCDC staff on food and nutrition issues

SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE

Committee Objectives:

• Responsible for working collaboratively with the Administrative Director and SCDC staff on setting new goals and improving daily operations at the center

SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE

Committee Objectives:

     • Responsible for the planning and coordinating of all center-related special events (i.e., Ice Cream Social, International Night)
     • Responsible for communicating and marketing events to staff and parents
     • Working with SCDC Administration to provide and plan staff recognition activities

RESEARCH COMMITTEE

Committee Objectives:

     • Responsible for the review and approval of research projects
     • Working collaboratively with the Administrative Director and staff to ensure research protocols are correctly followed and integrity is maintained
     • Communicate information to families regarding new research proposals and/or projects

TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE

Committee Objectives:

     • Responsible for the review of the Center's website and assist with updates
     • Increasing the use of technology in the classroom
     • Working collaboratively with the Administrative Director to expand the use of technology throughout the center to communicate effectively with families

MARKETING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Committee Objectives:

     • Coordinating communications to the public, e.g., local TV or newspaper coverage
     • Coordinating the implementation of long-term fund generating activities
     • Communicating information to parents and other partners

CURRICULUM COMMITTEE

Committee Objectives:

     • Continued development, evaluation, and revision of the overall children's program.
     • Assist with the reaccreditation process of SCDC
     • Suggest new materials, program development tools and resources to enhance our program
