Preschool Classroom 2

3 — 4 years

The teachers’ goals for their children are to become familiar with the alphabet and identify their written name, verbally express their feelings consistently and use their words to solve problems, gain a deeper curiosity of the world around them, and have the self confidence to attempt all feats set before them.

Some of the favorite themes in the Green and Orange rooms include, music, the Olympics, insects, opposites, friendship, around the world, under the sea, cooking, and Cinco de Mayo.

The preschool 2 students have a chance to participate in a variety of fun activities, including field trips and special guests, learning sign language and Spanish, learning new sports, planting, and playing the guitar with their teacher.

As an extension of the classroom, the preschool 2 teachers suggest parents do puzzles, count everyday objects, help children verbalize their wants and needs, encourage their children to ask questions then help them find the answer, and come in to share their time and experience with the classroom.
