Center's Schedule

The Center’s operating calendar replicates that of Michigan State University’s operating calendar for staff/faculty. The Center will replicate the University holiday observance, which is generally the legal holiday. The additional day at Christmas and New Years are observed either before or after the legal holiday. The Center is closed and no fees are charged for the following holidays or closings:

Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Friday before MSU Fall Semester

Thanksgiving
Friday after Thanksgiving
Christmas
New Year's (2 days)

The Center will offer care on a request only basis on the three business days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Those families interested in care may sign up and will be billed for requested days. Those families who do not need care will not be billed between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.

The Center closes for “snow days” when Michigan State University closes – listen to local news and radio announcements. Refunds/credits are not offered for snow day closings. There are no credits or refunds given when a child is absent for any reason during a period for which child care has been reserved or for emergency center closings (i.e., power outages, blizzards, floods).
