Toddler Classrooms

12 — 24 months

The teachers’ goals for their children are for them to develop a healthy self esteem, exhibit social skills, enjoy reading, and to create a fun, safe, and enriching environment.

Some of the favorite themes in the Peach and Yellow rooms include, body parts, colors, nutrition, five senses, movement to music, puppets, nature, and transportation.

The toddlers have a chance to participate in a variety of fun activities, including art, sensory exploration, playing with puppets, dancing, story books, and their favorite song, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt”.

As an extension of the classroom, the toddler teachers suggest parents talk to children about their feelings and encourage children to use their words to express their emotions, read books at home pertaining to the theme of the week, talk about the lesson plans and activities presented in the classroom, and check the classroom newsletters for important information and helpful articles.
